I have never ever been
to a public bath so I was filled with anticipating excitement when I walked to a
small, old one in Kyoto, Japan. I had hoped to watch some naked skins of the
feminine kind at the bath. However, to my utter disappointment, I found that
the genders were separated as men and ladies went into the bath by two different
entrances.
Of course, I was a bit
thrilled when I had to strip completely naked in front of a young female bath attendant
after she had shown me to the locker to keep my clothes. She gave me a rather
tiny towel to cover my crown jewels!
There were three pools
in the bathing area. There were low taps where one should wash before going
into the pools. I sat on a small stool by the taps and washed myself. I then
slid into the smallest of the three pools and found to my shock that the water
was very hot indeed! I felt like coming out it immediately.
I discovered out later that
one should allow our bodies to get used to the warm water first. We should do
this by dipping into the small pool further back of the room where the
temperature was slightly lower than the two other pools. Then move to the large
middle pool where we would find the temperature comfortable and relax on the
ledge in it and finally finishing with a quick dip in the smallest and warmest
of the pools. I had gone into the hottest pool first without allowing my body
to get used to the heat!
I found the bath most relaxing,
indeed. Coming out of the bath house, I saw a young, tall, very pretty Japanese girl coming in! Too bad,
there was not any mixed bathing there or else I might go into that public bath
again!
