I have
to thank the Lord for enabling me to discover writing. It has made me more
confident of myself, to enable me to enjoy the company of one - me! I
am able to enjoy reading and writing in solitude.
Most
importantly, writing has been very cathartic whenever the demons in my mind
start to run wild on overdrive on encountering unfortunate incidents which sort
of evoke bitter memories. Writing has made me confident enough to remain calm
and indifferent.
Writing has also made me strong enough not to overreact to any negative remarks or backbiting from small-minded people. I refrain myself from ever complaining or, at least, I try not to, as I know it will not do me any good. I act like a sponge to absorb anything nasty by remaining calm and steady.
What I fear most is ennui and boredom - the emptiness can really kill me. So I keep myself busy with writing, household chores or DIY projects.
I thank the Lord for enabling me to lead a very simple, busy life. But I feel I'm enjoying a billionaire life albeit being broke most of the time!

Happiness does not consist in pastimes and
amusements but in virtuous activities.
