I'm a
sensible, but quite an idealistic guy.
However, I bleed easily,
When I encounter any unkindness.
I'm glad I've been able to stop the bleeding
By turning to reading, writing and sports
To stop the demons on my mind from running wild.
I'm blithesome to have been often shown kindness,
By strangers and friends alike
To be strong enough to tourniquet any such bleeding.
Most of all
I thank the Lord
For making me calm and steady
After encountering any unkindness.
